BROWNIE PICK-A-PROGRAM OPTIONS

Earth and Sky Try-it 
Look up! Look down! Explore what is under your feet and over your head.

Eco-Explorer Try-it

Explore the woods and areas surrounding Elam looking for animal homes, tracks, and other evidence of wildlife.

Outdoor Adventurer Try-it

Learn to prepare for hikes and outdoor outings. Practice outdoor safety and gain a sense of the outdoor environment.

Ready, Set, Go Camping Try-it

A campfire, roasted marshmallows, sleeping in a tent, exploring the woods. What does camping mean to you? This will help get you started.

Watching Wildlife Try-it

If you can stalk through the woods like a red fox and spot small mammals like a hawk, your troop will watch some wildlife and learn the secrets of their lives.

Building Art

Design a town, build a bridge and construct a super tower while building your problem-solving and planning skills.

Plants Try-it

Discover the importance of plants and learn some fascinating facts through hands-on activities starring our oxygen-producing friends.

Animals Try-it

Explore the wonderful world of animals!

Art to Wear Try-it

Creativity is our theme during this art inspired program. We’ll create T-shirt art, have a face painting party, make jewelry and more! Be sure to bring a plain white T-shirt of your own to design.

Movers Try-it

Learn how to build and fly your own helicopters, gliders, kites and other wind machines. A perfect program to combine your love of crafts with some cool science stuff.

Darby Creek Explorers (*includes patch)

Get a little wet while learning the skills of stream quality monitoring in Big
Darby Creek. Tie-on shoes that can get wet are required, shorts or pants that can be rolled up are highly recommended. 

Wetland Explorers (*includes patch)

Get up close and personal with one of natures best tools for regulating the environment. Bring your mucking boots!

Night Hike and Campfire (*includes patch)

Bring your night eyes as we explore Elam after dark and conclude with a roaring campfire. We won't be using flashlights, so you don't need to bring them. 

Brownie Challenge Course (*includes patch)

Take advantage of our low ropes course to build teamwork in your troop that will last all year. Various team-centered challenges like the giant spider web, Mohawk Walk, River of Fire, Swamp Crossing, and the Wall will push your troop to communicate and accept ideas from others while promoting cooperation and leadership.
